Well the time has come for my first class in the MBA program to come to an end. Tuesday is the last class. I have tons of emotions going on right now. First, I am happy that I made it through my first class. It was alot of work though. I am not longer in undergrad lols.
Secondly I learned alot about myself as a leader. All of the leadership practices that we learned about were very informative and useful to me. Really understanding what type of leader I am is important. I will be able to use what I was taught in the future, both personal and professional.
I really liked the results from the LPI. It was really good to get feedback from my actual reports and other managers that I have worked with. (I guess it was worth the $107)!!!!!!!!!
Overall, I loved the class. We had a great professor which was nice as well. Not having to be lectured to all night but having an interactive class was great!
One chapter is complete on my journey through this MBA program. The next chapter is now beginning.

Leadership Class
So where do I begin. I am about to begin my journey back to school to obtain my MBA. I just graduated in May so after a long summer break, I figured it was time to come and pick up where I left off.
My expectation after reviewing all of the materials was that this is going to be a long eight weeks. I knew that when I signed up for this, it was going to be challenging for multiple reasons. I have a 2 year old daughter, I was recently promoted at work, and you have to obtain at least a B- in the classes or you will be removed from the program. I am a B/C student, so that was quite concerning.
Tonight, I had the opportunity to meet with Prof Duncan, and my view has slightly changed. What I put into the class is what I am going to get out of it. This isn't the associates or bachelor's program anymore. I am expecting to learn a littlle bit more about my leadership type and qualitites. I also hope to gain a few tips one how to be a better leader in my professional and personal life.
